Christmas Get Together

We’re a sociable group of ladies at Get Ahead Hats, and, despite the fact that we are up and down the country, we do all know each other personally.

A Visit to Buckingham Palace

Pictured is Kath Paintin who received an OBE for services to Special Educational Needs. Kath received her OBE from the Queen the same day as Gary Barlow and Kate Winslet received their awards. Kath said, “We did meet Gary Barlow OBE was just behind me going in to receive the award and he spoke to me and to Lewis my grandson and gave his autograph and Lewis had a picture with him he was great. Brillliant day as you can see.”

Melbourne Race Week

I hope you remember the stunning black and white hat I bought for the Melbourne Race Week – here it is! I loved it and it looked super with my outfit – I hope you agree! Have had a great week with a few good wins and a few not so good!! I wore my statement piece on cup day with the same outfit I wore for the wedding we went to in September.

News from Penrith – Nov 2012

Beverley Bargh from Penrith helped both the Mother of the Bride and the Mother of the Groom chose these fabulous hats for the wedding of one of Bev’s son’s friends. Each outfit was a different style and colour, and Beverley was able to find the perfect headwear to compliment both.

Bev said, “I think they look fab! Such a lovely couple we all wish them Good luck for the future!”
