Get Ahead at Ascot

Victoria from Get Ahead Hats Petworth sent this photo of her lovely lady wearing a gorgeous percher at Ascot with TV presenter Claire Balding. Victoria said, “our hats must have given them good luck as they also had a winner on Tuesday!”

Gold medallist Denise Lewis OBE went monochrome for the second day of Royal Ascot wearing a hat from Get Ahead Hats Reading.The athlete who won gold in the heptathlon at the 2000 Sydney Olympics visited Margaret’s showroom, in Coppid Beech House to find the perfect hat for the Royal meeting.

Denise, who said the London Road showroom was “local to her” wore the black and white hat on Wednesday .

Judi Latus, who helps Margaret in the showroom, said: “Ascot week is always chaotic but there’s wonderful buzz.We have lots of ladies who come in February when we get our new collection in who are always looking for the most extravagant pieces.Then we get the less organised customers who come in at the last minute looking for something beautiful.”

Wedding hat success

Helen Walker chose this beautiful gold hat from Sharon’s showroom based just outside Thaxted in Essex. The colour complimented her cream dress and pale gold jacket perfectly .Helen emailed this lovely photo to Sharon and said, “Thank you again for the information and also for having the most perfect hat to complement my outfit; I almost couldn’t bear to return such a beautiful piece of millinery to the showroom. I cannot imagine having occasion to wear such a hat again but for a while I was tempted to buy it and put it in a frame! However, I couldn’t rob your next customer of the joy of wearing such a stunning creation. I hope whoever that person is she enjoys it as much as I did”.
